Deep Water Lures

Trolling Deep Water Lures

These lures work in all conditions. Diving lures go deeper with speed.  Casting in shallow water causes snags.  Strike are hard.  Leaders should be used.  Lure action will tangle line without a swivel.  When weights are used, leaders should be longer.

Which Lure

Lures should imitate local bait fish.   Size, and color are important to  mimic fish in the area.  Weight helps get the lure down.  Shape provides the action.

Where to Fish

Fish finders are part of a successful fishing trip.  Fish can be hard to find even in a small bay.  Once fish are found and depth is established, trolling can begin.   Fish are constantly moving.  It is important to troll a large area to cover the full area where fish are found.

Below are examples of typical deep running lures.  Click on a lure to purchase or to scroll through dozens of lures.  To purchase another item, type that item into the search bar.
